Start of Production at Donguan Keihin Engine Management System Co., Ltd. Donguan Keihin Engine Management System Co., Ltd., which was established in Canton Province as Keihin's first production company in China for automobile products in March 2002, started operations in December with the holding of a Line-off Ceremony. Donguan Keihin Engine Management System Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keihin, has its plant in the Guancheng Hi-Tech City industrial park in Donguan City, Canton Province. The plant has a land area of 50,000 sq. meters and currently employs a total of 90 associates, making it the largest company out of the 15 companies currently operating in the industrial park. The main products at the present time are intake manifold assemblies for Honda's Accord and Odyssey models, and production of other engine devices such as high pressure fuel pumps and electric EGR valves is also planned for the future. With the start up of this new location in the Keihin Group organisation, Keihin will be able to respond promptly to the needs of the ever-expanding China market and this will be one further step for Keihin's establishment of an efficient global supply network.
